So Fresh, So Clean

This week I chose the Outkast song So Fresh, So Clean because I had wonderful visitors this past weekend that made my apartment clean (for now).

Last week I covered both Bottineau boy's and girl's basketball games as well as Jacks hockey.

This week will be pretty busy as I have a doubleheader tonight (BHS girls and boys against Rugby) and tomorrow (DCB men and women against Lake Region) then a hockey game on Friday night (Bottineau-Rugby against Mandan) and a 19U game on Saturday.

Anyway, many pictures to share this week. I hope you enjoy:

Parker Engelhard prepares to release a three ball last Thursday.

Phillip Neubauer defends a shot in last Thursday's loss to the TGU Titans.

Sophomore Stephanie Brenden goes in for an easy two last Friday against Dunseith.

Brenden delivers a pass in the first half of last Friday's loss to the Dragons.

Senior Katryna Hahn brings the ball up the court.

Junior Harrison Aide fires a shot from the point toward the Minot net last Monday evening.

Andrew Hill cruises toward the net on a breakaway.

Aide celebrates a first period goal by Wyatt Johnson, which he assisted on.

Christian St. Claire tries to poke out the ball.

Nigel Hageness looks to get the puck after chasing it into the offensive zone.

Luke Amsbaugh speeds toward the puck as it rolls toward the Magician's net.

Aide stares down the goalie before delivering a shot last Monday.

One thing is for certain when Minot comes to town, somebody will throw a dead rabbit on the ice.

Braves goalie Riley Monson stares down an approaching Magician.

Hill keeps it away from Minot's Ryan Peterson.

Aide leaves the ice to chants of "Harrison, Harrison" by the fans after he scored four of Bottineau-Rugby's five goals in a 5-4 win over Minot.

Cody Longie about to unleash a wicked shot.

Lee Jenkins delivers a strong slap shot last Sunday against Minot State.

Former Bottineau-Rugby standout Kyle Volk dishes a pass in the Jacks 14-0 loss to the Beavers.

Aide and Brent Williams face off in the first period.

Frigid

This week I aptly chose the song Frigid by Offcutts because it has been a really cold week with temperatures at night getting below -20 degrees Fahrenheit and wind chills dipping to 50 below and lower.

This past week I was able to cover a pair of hockey games, both on Tuesday night. They were of Bottineau-Rugby and the Dakota College at Bottineau . On Thursday night I covered an overtime thriller between Bottineau and Westhope-Newburg's boy's basketball teams. Lastly I took in a 17-1 drubbing that Bottineau 19U handed to Mayport. Bottineau's 19U team won all three of their games as they hosted a "jamboree." Last night I also covered the stellar Braves/Magicians hockey game, where Harrison Aide dominated and the Braves won 5-4 (pictures won't be up until next week).

This week I have BHS boy's game on Thursday and a girls game against Dunseith on Friday.

Looking forward to the Super Bowl in two months or whenever it is (too much time in between in my opinion) I am predicting a 24-16 San Francisco victory, but I've been wrong before.

Anyhow many pictures to share from the past week, enjoy:

The Blizzard

This past weekend there was supposed to be a blizzard (didn't really happen). However, it did postpone several sporting events, which left me with less than expected coverage this past weekend. I chose the song The Blizzard by the legendary Jim Reeves.

However, I did manage to catch a Bottineau Stars game on Tuesday, and a Dakota College men's basketball game on Friday.

Both of my Super Bowl team's were eliminated via spectacular finish this past weekend. There is a wide open path for the Patriots to win now.

This week I have many things to cover: two hockey games last night, Bottineau/Westhope-Newburg boy's baksetball on Thursday and a 19U jamboree in town this weekend.

I'm also awaiting the arrival of my mom and godmother to come up to visit. It was my birthday on Monday, so they decided to make the six-hour trek once again in 2013.

Anyway, enough about me, here are the pics:

Stars senior Katryna Hahn wins the opening tip against Langdon's Abbey Braaten last Tuesday.

Hahn watches the opening tip.

Sophomore Stephanie Brenden for three.
