The Fox

This week I chose the song "The Fox" by Ylvis, because I'd also like to know, what the heck does the fox say?

Random side thought that I had the other day also was, why isn't there a pro sports team that are the Foxes. That would be a great name, and a great logo. Plus, now they'd have their own built-in anthem. This prompted a google search, which pointed me toward two main teams that have the fox moniker: the Springfield Foxes as semi-pro football team, and the Marist CollegeMarist College Red Foxes.

Still wouldn't it be a great name for a pro team? Maybe it will be the first North Dakota pro sports franchise--the Fargo Foxes. I'm all in.

Things went well in two fantasy leagues this week, and not so great in two others. I'm currently sitting in fifth, seventh, eighth and eighth place in my four leagues. It has been a shaky start to say the least, but I truly believe that I can right the ship in all four leagues and sneak into the playoffs.

I went 10-5 in NFL picks this week and have 60 correct through six weeks this season.

Connect

This week I chose the Drake song "Connect" because his recently released album "Nothing was the Same" really connected with me. Drake currently has 12 songs in the top 100, which is tied with Lil' Wayne for the record for most at one time.

This past week I covered all three of Bottineau County's volleyball teams, and I will be covering both the Bottineau and Newburg-Westhope teams again this week. I will get a little football in this week on Friday as the Bottineau Braves host Williams County. The forecast predicts rain, but hopefully that doesn't happen.

I had a bad week in fantasy as all four of my teams suffered defeats this week. I'm still the highest scoring team in one league, but am 2-3, which really stinks. I'm 3-2, 2-3, 2-3 and 1-4 in my four leagues.

I got only seven right in NFL pick'em this week, but I'm still doing pretty well with 50 right through five weeks.

No More Tears

This week I picked the Ozzy classic "No More Tears" because the Bottineau Braves finally got off the schnide and won their first game of the season last Friday against Surrey.

I also covered the Bottineau Stars and Newburg-Westhope Eagles last Tuesday, and the Stars on Thursday at home as well.

As far as fantasy football goes, I won in two leagues and lost in two. That puts me at 3-1, 2-2, 2-2, and 1-3 in my four leagues. One of the losses was quite devastating, because my team performed very well, but the week still ended in defeat.

I did really well in pick 'em going 12-3, and am currently tied for third place with 43 correct picks in four weeks.
