Moving Out

This week I chose "Moving Out" by Billy Joel, as I am moving from my current apartment to a new one next week. I am also going to be moving from spring to summer mode soon. Spring sports are on their last legs as it is make it or break it time for most sports.

I was able to make it to both region golf tournaments this past week as well as a rainy region track and field meet on Saturday.

This week I am covering region baseball, and leaving for state golf on Monday. Should be a crazy week with all the moving as well.

Plenty of pics to share this week, including a few Jr. High golfers:

The Race is On

This week I chose "The Race is On" by Sawyer Brown. Aside from being one of my favorite songs growing up, spring sports are also in full stride. Track, baseball, softball and most importantly golf are in the full swing of things for this spring season. The weather has finally been cooperating. And the race of covering all these things is definitely "on."

This past week I was able to attend a Bottineau High baseball game, as well as Dakota College at Bottineau baseball and softball games.

The upcoming week I will be (weather permitting) attending a Bottineau High baseball game and taking the girls golf team to Garrison in both a coaching capacity and a coverage capacity.

Here are my pictures for the week:

Bottineau eighth grader Luke Amsbaugh flips it to second base last Thursday against Rolette-Rolla.

Jacks shortstop Cody Benson makes a sensational stop in the hole.

Drew Haight awaits a throw in an attempt to tag out a mystics runner.

Jacks pitcher Tawnya Tychinski releases a pitch in a game against the North Dakota State College of Science last Saturday.

WTF?

This week I picked the song "WTF?" by Ok Go, because that was exactly my reaction to waking up to foot deep snow drifts on May 1. It was also my reaction to the Vikings drafting Christian Ponder at No. 12 Thursday night, guess they didn't read my blog for advice. Fortunately they did really well with their other picks.

I finally got a decent week of weather the past week (minus the snow over the weekend), which allowed me to attend some sporting events in the area.

I was able to take pictures of Dakota College at Bottineau baseball and softball (they lost).

Here are some pics that weren't published in the paper:

DCB freshman pitcher Tawnya Tychinski about to deliver a pitch last Thursday at Tommy Turtle Park in Bottineau.

Ladyjacks sophomore Jen Theissen is thrown out trying to steal second against Minot State JV last Thursday.
